I grew up in a beautiful suburb of Southern California with four sisters. Crafting,
Girl Scouts, swimming, Barbie’s, school and neighborhood best friends. A
perfect place to discover my potential. My parents always encouraging us to try
new things and give it our best. Success was a given in our home. If you did
not do well at one thing naturally, you will do well at something else. With a
home environment like this, it is no wonder my sisters are all very successful.
I on the other hand took the long and winding road. After working in the
grocery industry for 11 years, I decided to stay home with my two beautiful
daughters. (Very good decision). This gave me an opportunity to follow my passion,
making food beautiful. I had a catering company for three years. Loved the
work, but it was not good for a Mom with little ones. I sold that business and
started making chocolate confections only from my kitchen. That grew into a manufacturing
company that I operated for twenty years and now the most fun of all, sharing
recipes and tricks of the trade in my cookbooks. I hope this blog and my books inspire your imagination.
